Account and payment information
Reddit Extract stores your email, a password hash, an API key hash, IP information for abuse prevention and payment transaction records. These categories support account access, authentication, API credit accounting, payment verification and abuse prevention. Password and key hashes are not plaintext passwords or API keys. This description does not mean individual hash values are published.
Keep the extraction key and your saved archive responses separate. If you copy returned records to your own storage, you determine the handling of that local copy and any derived fields. Account-data processing described here is not a claim that every archived record is available or that the archive is a permanent store for your project.
Browser state and analytics
The website uses a Secure HttpOnly session cookie. The browser stores invoice ID and user ID in localStorage for the current host so the interface can recover an invoice for the signed-in account. The raw API key is not persisted in that browser storage; save the once-shown key yourself in a suitable secret store.
Pages include Statinside site 43 analytics. This policy does not promise cookie-free tracking or specify unverified analytics event fields. The account session, invoice-recovery identifiers and analytics should not be confused with the archive API credential or with fields returned in a historical record.
Retention and limits of this disclosure
No fixed retention period for account, personal or payment information has been specified. Do not assume automatic deletion after a particular interval or a guaranteed deletion deadline. This statement concerns account data, not the retention, completeness or future availability of Reddit archive records.
When documenting a field-conversion error, exclude passwords, API keys and unnecessary personal values from your notes. A response file written by your application is separate from the invoice identifiers stored by this website. Decide what your own pipeline retains and who can access it; do not rely on the account interface as a backup for your extracted data.
